The Red Sūn Shō edition of the Monkeycons: monkey character icons in red and black versions.

RED SŪN SHŌ LOGO
Red Sūn Shō is the creative alter ego and space for raw exploration of Francesco Faggiano. While his professional practice defines the craftsman behind editorial illustration, Red Sūn Shō holds his most intimate, free, and experimental soul.
The name itself synthesizes a multifaceted, constantly evolving identity:
- RED: The alchemical red of Rubedo — the color of passion, primordial fire, and transformation.
- SŪN: A tribute to Sūn Wukong, the Monkey King from the classic novel Journey to the West. A symbol of romantic rebellion, sharpness, wit, and unwavering stubbornness against dogmas.
- SHŌ: Inspired by the Japanese concept of “soaring high” (翔, to soar) and transcending restrictions—graphically evoked by the meeting of sheep/wings and upward momentum—a conceptual translation of the roots of the name Francesco (free).
